Are the teams Co-ed?
The only teams that are Co-ed are the Learn to Play teams that are made up of 4-7 year old's.
What are the fees and uniform deposit amounts?
U7 "Learn to play": Birth year 2018 -2020 - $150 registration fee; no uniform deposit
U9: Birth year 2016, 2017 - $275 registration fee and $75 uniform deposit
U11: Birth year 2014, 2015 - $310 registration fee and $75 uniform deposit
U13: Birth year 2012, 2013 - $335 registration fee and $75 uniform deposit
U15: Birth year 2010, 2011 - $360 registration fee and $75 uniform deposit
U17/U19: Birth year 2006 - 2009 - $385 registration fee and $75 uniform deposit
All registration fees and uniform deposits are to be paid online.
**The Withdrawal/Refund deadline is up to and including April 30, 2025, and is subject to a $25 admin fee. No refunds will be given after this date.
When are regular season games played?
Each age division will play 2 nights per week. Schedules will be updated on the Southfour Website. Click on the weblink for your age group on the home page to see individual team schedules.

U9 - Monday and Wednesday game start- 6:45pm
U11 - Tuesday and Thursday game start- 6:45pm
U13 - Monday and Wednesday game start- 6:45pm
U15 - Tuesday and Thursday game start- 6:45pm
U17/U19 - Monday and Wednesdays game start- 6:45pm
When are practices held?
Coaches from each team (U9 - U19) will determine their own practice schedules. These are mandatory and may be held on weekends or other weeknights when scheduled games are not being played.
Is there travelling involved?
Yes. Games are scheduled by Calgary Minor Softball (CMSA) which is a city-wide organization and includes surrounding areas (Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane, Strathmore & Chestermere). Visitor (away) games will be scheduled throughout the city and surrounding area.

Note: Some teams may decide to enter into Tournaments &/or Provincials which may be located outside of the greater Calgary area.
What equipment is required?
All players U9 through U19 are required to have their own batting helmet with cage, groin protection (Jill), black baseball pants, baseball cleats, jersey (provided by Southfour), ball glove, water bottle, hair elastics (long hair must be tied back), belt, socks and FACE MASK.
Please note that the umpire may require earring and face piercings to be removed or covered with tape (this is at the umpire's discretion).
Recommended optional items, not mandatory: mouth guard, sliding shorts, batting gloves and softball bat.
Bats and full catchers gear (shin pads, chest protector, catcher's mask) will be provided to all teams.
ALL PLAYERS playing an infield position (P, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B) are require to wear a face mask. Face masks are optional for those playing in the outfield (RF, CF, LF).
